New kano emir bayero resumes office
Congratulations to the new Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Bayero, on his resumption of office!
As the 59th Emir of Kano, Emir Bayero has a rich history of serving the people of Kano and the Hausa community. He was born in 1957 and comes from a prominent family of Islamic scholars and leaders.
Emir Bayero's ascension to the throne follows the passing of his predecessor, Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II, who was a prominent figure in Nigerian politics and Islamic scholarship. Emir Bayero's appointment was announced by the Kano State Government in June 2020, and he was formally installed as the new Emir on June 9, 2020.
As Emir, Bayero is expected to continue the legacy of his predecessors, promoting peace, unity, and development in Kano and the wider region. He is also expected to play a key role in promoting Islamic values and scholarship, as well as fostering good relations between the Hausa community and other ethnic groups in Nigeria.
