Lashana Lynch will play the role of the new 007 in the upcoming James Bond film, "No Time to Die".

Lashana Lynch is a British actress, best known for her roles in "Captain Marvel" and "Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw". She will be the first black woman to play the iconic role of Bond.

The news was confirmed by Barbara Broccoli, the producer of the Bond franchise, who stated that Lynch's character will be a "fresh take" on the character and will be a "new era" for the franchise.

"No Time to Die" is set to be released on April 10, 2020, and will star Daniel Craig in his final outing as Bond. The film will also feature Rami Malek, Léa Seydoux, and Naomie Harris, among others.
