New jamb cut off mark for universities
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) releases a cut-off mark for universities in Nigeria every year. The cut-off mark is the minimum score a candidate must obtain in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to be eligible for admission into a university.
For the 2022/2023 academic session, the JAMB cut-off mark for universities is 160. This means that any candidate who scores 160 or above in the UTME is eligible for admission into a university.
However, it's important to note that the cut-off mark may vary from one university to another. Some universities may have a higher cut-off mark, while others may have a lower cut-off mark.
Here are some of the cut-off marks for universities in Nigeria for the 2022/2023 academic session:
- University of Lagos (UNILAG): 200
- University of Ibadan (UI): 200
- University of Benin (UNIBEN): 200
- University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT): 180
- University of Abuja (UNIABUJA): 180
- University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID): 180
- University of Calabar (UNICAL): 180
- University of Jos (UNIJOS): 180
- University of Ilorin (UNILORIN): 180
- Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU): 200
Please note that these cut-off marks are subject to change, and candidates are advised to check the official websites of the universities they are interested in for the latest information.
It's also important to note that the cut-off mark is not the only factor considered for admission into a university. Other factors such as the candidate's O'level results, post-UTME score, and the university's admission policy may also be taken into consideration.
