Finland has a parliamentary system of government, where the Prime Minister is the head of government and is responsible for appointing and dismissing ministers. The government is composed of the Prime Minister and the ministers, who are responsible for specific portfolios.
As of 2023, the government of Finland is led by Prime Minister Sanna Marin, who is the leader of the Social Democratic Party. The current government is a coalition government consisting of the following parties:
