New flash movie
You're excited about the new Flash movie! Here's what I know so far:
The Flash (2022)
The upcoming DC Extended Universe (DCEU) film, simply titled "The Flash", is scheduled to be released on June 3, 2022. The movie will be directed by Andy Muschietti, who is known for his work on "It" and "It: Chapter Two".
The Plot
The story follows Barry Allen, aka the Fastest Man Alive, as he navigates the consequences of his powers and the aftermath of the events in "Justice League". The movie will reportedly explore the concept of the "Speed Force", a mysterious energy that grants Barry his superhuman abilities.
The Cast
- Ezra Miller will reprise his role as Barry Allen/The Flash, which he first played in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Justice League".
- Ben Affleck is rumored to return as Bruce Wayne/Batman, although his involvement is not yet confirmed.
- Michael Keaton is set to play a new version of Bruce Wayne/Batman, which will be a separate continuity from Affleck's portrayal.
- Sasha Calle will play the role of Iris West, Barry's love interest and a journalist.
- Kiersey Clemons will reprise her role as Iris West's sister, Francine West.
The Villain
The main antagonist of the movie is rumored to be Reverse-Flash, also known as Eobard Thawne, a villain from the Flash comics. Thawne is a scientist who becomes obsessed with the Flash and eventually becomes his archenemy.
The Flash's Future
The movie is expected to set the stage for the DC Extended Universe's future, potentially introducing new characters and storylines that will shape the franchise's direction. With the success of "Wonder Woman 1984" and "The Batman", the DCEU is looking to revitalize its cinematic universe and "The Flash" is a key part of that plan.
