A blast from the past!
New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC was a subsidiary of AT&T Wireless Services, Inc. that operated from 2001 to 2006. At the time, it was one of the largest wireless telecommunications companies in the United States.
Here's a brief history:
- In 2001, AT&T Wireless Services, Inc. acquired the wireless assets of Cingular Wireless, a regional carrier, and rebranded them as New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC.
- New Cingular Wireless PCS operated on the GSM network and offered a range of wireless services, including voice, text, and data.
- In 2004, Cingular Wireless acquired AT&T Wireless Services, Inc. and merged the two companies under the Cingular Wireless brand.
- In 2006, Cingular Wireless was acquired by AT&T Inc. and rebranded as AT&T Mobility.
Today, AT&T Mobility is one of the largest wireless telecommunications companies in the United States, offering a range of services including wireless voice, text, and data, as well as internet of things (IoT) and connected car solutions.
