- Cardinal Wilton Gregory (Washington, D.C., USA) - Appointed on November 1, 2019. He is the first African American to be elevated to the College of Cardinals.
- Cardinal Joseph Tobin (Newark, New Jersey, USA) - Appointed on November 1, 2019.
- Cardinal Kevin Farrell (Washington, D.C., USA) - Appointed on November 1, 2019. He is the former Prefect of the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life.
- Cardinal Robert McElroy (San Diego, California, USA) - Appointed on November 1, 2019.
- Cardinal Gregory Hartmayer (Baltimore, Maryland, USA) - Appointed on November 1, 2019.
