New air forces
Here are some new air forces that have been established or are in the process of being established:
- Uganda People's Defence Air Force (UPDAF): Established in 2020, the UPDAF is the air force of the Uganda People's Defence Force (UPDF).
- Myanmar Air Force (MAF): In 2020, the Myanmar Air Force was re-established as a separate branch of the Myanmar Armed Forces.
- Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF): In 2020, the Sri Lanka Air Force was re-established as a separate branch of the Sri Lanka Armed Forces.
- Bangladesh Air Force (BAF): In 2020, the Bangladesh Air Force was re-established as a separate branch of the Bangladesh Armed Forces.
- Nepal Army Air Wing (NAAW): Established in 2019, the NAAW is the air wing of the Nepal Army.
- Papua New Guinea Air Force (PNGAF): Established in 2019, the PNGAF is the air force of Papua New Guinea.
- South Sudan Air Force (SSAF): Established in 2011, the SSAF is the air force of South Sudan.
- Somali Air Force (SAF): Established in 2012, the SAF is the air force of Somalia.
- Libyan Air Force (LAF): Established in 2016, the LAF is the air force of Libya.
- Yemen Air Force (YAF): Established in 2015, the YAF is the air force of Yemen.
