The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) introduced a new series of banknotes in 2017, which includes the 100 Naira note. Here are some key features of the new note:

• The obverse (front) side features a portrait of Olusegun Obasanjo, the third President of Nigeria, who served from 1999 to 2007.
• The reverse (back) side features a collage of Nigerian cultural icons, including the Adire cloth, a traditional Yoruba textile, and the Nok terracotta head, a symbol of Nigeria's rich cultural heritage.

Security Features:

• The note has a transparent window with a hologram image of the Nigerian coat of arms.
• It also features a 3D image of the Nigerian flag that changes from green to blue when tilted.
• The note has a unique serial number and a micro-printed pattern of the Nigerian national anthem.
• The paper used for the note is also unique, with a distinctive texture and a subtle sheen.

Other Features:

• The note is larger than the previous 100 Naira note, measuring 126 mm x 69 mm.
• It has a watermarked image of the Nigerian coat of arms.
• The note is also designed to be more durable and resistant to wear and tear.
