New 10 dollar bill
The new $10 bill!
The United States Treasury Department has introduced a new design for the $10 bill, which features a portrait of Alexander Hamilton, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States and the first Secretary of the Treasury.
Here are some key features of the new design:
- Alexander Hamilton: The main portrait is of Alexander Hamilton, who is depicted in a more modern and dynamic way than on previous designs.
- The Treasury Building: In the background, you'll see a depiction of the Treasury Building in Washington, D.C., which is where the Department of the Treasury is headquartered.
- The 3D Security Ribbon: The new bill features a 3D Security Ribbon that runs along the left side of the bill. The ribbon has images of 100s and 10s, as well as a Liberty Bell that appears to move as you tilt the bill.
- Color-Shifting Ink: The bill also features color-shifting ink that changes from copper to green when you tilt the bill. This is located in the lower right corner of the bill.
- Enhanced Security Features: The new design includes several enhanced security features, including a watermark of Alexander Hamilton, a security thread, and microprinting.
The new $10 bill was introduced in 2017, and it's designed to be more secure and harder to counterfeit than previous designs.
