Ndlea new salary structure
Here is a proposed new salary structure for the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA):
Grade Levels and Salary Ranges
- Entry-Level Officers (GL 08-10)
- Salary Range: ₦1,500,000 - ₦2,500,000 per annum
- Job Responsibilities: Assist in the enforcement of drug laws, conduct routine patrols, and provide support to senior officers.
- Junior Officers (GL 11-13)
- Salary Range: ₦2,500,000 - ₦4,000,000 per annum
- Job Responsibilities: Conduct investigations, gather intelligence, and assist in the prosecution of drug-related cases.
- Senior Officers (GL 14-16)
- Salary Range: ₦4,000,000 - ₦6,500,000 per annum
- Job Responsibilities: Lead investigations, provide strategic guidance, and oversee the work of junior officers.
- Deputy Directors (GL 17-19)
- Salary Range: ₦6,500,000 - ₦10,000,000 per annum
- Job Responsibilities: Oversee the work of senior officers, provide policy guidance, and represent the agency in high-level meetings.
- Directors (GL 20-22)
- Salary Range: ₦10,000,000 - ₦15,000,000 per annum
- Job Responsibilities: Lead the agency, provide strategic direction, and represent the agency in national and international forums.
- Assistant Comptrollers-General (GL 23-25)
- Salary Range: ₦15,000,000 - ₦20,000,000 per annum
- Job Responsibilities: Assist the Comptroller-General, provide oversight of agency operations, and ensure compliance with national policies.
- Comptroller-General (GL 26-28)
- Salary Range: ₦20,000,000 - ₦25,000,000 per annum
- Job Responsibilities: Lead the agency, provide strategic direction, and represent the agency in national and international forums.
Allowances and Benefits
- Housing Allowance: 20% of basic salary
- Transport Allowance: 15% of basic salary
- Uniform Allowance: ₦50,000 per annum
- Medical Allowance: ₦100,000 per annum
- Leave Allowance: ₦50,000 per annum
- Pension Contribution: 10% of basic salary
- Group Life Insurance: ₦500,000 per annum
- Other benefits as may be determined by the agency.
Promotion and Career Progression
- Promotion from one grade level to the next will be based on performance, seniority, and availability of vacancies.
- Officers will be eligible for promotion after a minimum of 2 years of service at the current grade level.
- Career progression will be based on a combination of performance, training, and experience.
