Nadal cruises into quarter finals at acapulco tennis
Rafael Nadal has indeed cruised into the quarterfinals at the Abierto Mexicano Telcel, also known as the Acapulco Tennis tournament, in Mexico.
In his second-round match, Nadal faced off against Argentine tennis player Federico Delbonis and won in straight sets, 6-4, 6-1. The victory marked Nadal's 12th win in 13 matches against Delbonis.
Nadal, who is seeded second in the tournament, is looking to win his fifth title in Acapulco. He has a strong record in the tournament, having won the title in 2005, 2013, 2014, and 2020.
The quarterfinals will be Nadal's next challenge, where he will face either the winner of the match between American tennis player Taylor Fritz and Spanish tennis player Pablo Carreño Busta or the winner of the match between Italian tennis player Lorenzo Sonego and Argentine tennis player Diego Schwartzman.
Nadal is currently ranked second in the world and is seeking to win his 13th ATP Masters 1000 title. He has been in excellent form recently, having won the Australian Open and the French Open in 2022.
The Abierto Mexicano Telcel is a ATP Masters 1000 tournament, which is one of the most prestigious events in professional tennis. The tournament is being held from February 27 to March 5, 2023, at the Arena GNP Seguros in Acapulco, Mexico.
