Program Overview:
The Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) is launching a Climate Change Journalism Fellowship in West Africa, with the support of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for the fellowship, applicants must:
- Be a professional journalist with at least 2 years of experience in print, online, or broadcast media.
- Be a citizen of a West African country (Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Togo).
- Have a strong interest in reporting on climate change and its impacts on communities.
- Be proficient in English or French (the working languages of the fellowship).
