Title: "A New Beginning: A Fresh Start with God"

Text: Psalm 118:24-25, "This is the day which the Lord hath made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. He hath also given us a new beginning, and a fresh start with Him."

Introduction:

Dear brethren, today we gather to celebrate a new beginning. A new beginning is not just a phrase, it's a reality that we can experience in our lives. It's a fresh start, a second chance, a new opportunity to start anew. And today, we're going to explore what it means to have a new beginning with God.

Message:

In Psalm 118:24-25, we read that this is the day which the Lord hath made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. He hath also given us a new beginning, and a fresh start with Him. This verse reminds us that every day is a new opportunity to start anew, to leave our past behind and move forward with God.

But what does it mean to have a new beginning with God? It means that we can leave our past mistakes, our past failures, and our past regrets behind. It means that we can start fresh, with a clean slate, and a new perspective. It means that we can experience God's forgiveness, His mercy, and His love in a new and deeper way.

In 2 Corinthians 5:17, we read that if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. This verse reminds us that when we come to Christ, we are not just forgiven, we are recreated. We are given a new heart, a new mind, and a new spirit.

But a new beginning with God is not just about what He does for us, it's also about what we do for Him. It's about surrendering our lives to Him, and allowing Him to guide us, to direct us, and to lead us. It's about trusting Him, obeying Him, and following Him.

Illustration:

I remember a story about a man who was struggling with addiction. He had tried everything to overcome his addiction, but nothing seemed to work. One day, he came to a point where he realized that he needed God's help. He surrendered his life to God, and asked for His forgiveness and His help. And you know what? God answered his prayer. He gave him a new beginning, a fresh start, and a new life.

Conclusion:

Dear brethren, today we're reminded that we can have a new beginning with God. We can leave our past behind, and start fresh with Him. We can experience His forgiveness, His mercy, and His love in a new and deeper way. And we can trust Him, obey Him, and follow Him.

So let us rejoice and be glad in this new beginning that God has given us. Let us surrender our lives to Him, and allow Him to guide us, to direct us, and to lead us. And let us remember that with God, every day is a new opportunity to start anew, to leave our past behind, and to move forward with Him.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, we thank You for this new beginning that You have given us. We thank You for Your forgiveness, Your mercy, and Your love. We ask that You guide us, direct us, and lead us as we start this new chapter in our lives. Help us to surrender our lives to You, and to trust You, obey You, and follow You. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

Closing:

Dear brethren, may God bless you as you start this new chapter in your lives. May you experience His forgiveness, His mercy, and His love in a new and deeper way. And may you always remember that with God, every day is a new opportunity to start anew, to leave your past behind, and to move forward with Him.
