Liverpool earn e108m for winning uefa champions league title
I think there may be a mistake here!
According to UEFA's official website, the prize money for winning the UEFA Champions League is not €108 million. The actual prize money for winning the Champions League is €8.5 million.
However, the total revenue generated by Liverpool's Champions League victory in 2019 was significantly higher. According to a report by Deloitte, Liverpool earned around €134 million in revenue from their Champions League victory, including:
- €8.5 million in prize money from UEFA
- €60 million in broadcasting revenue
- €20 million in sponsorship and commercial revenue
- €46 million in matchday revenue
So while the prize money from UEFA was €8.5 million, Liverpool's total revenue from their Champions League victory was significantly higher at around €134 million.
