Lagos ibadan rail ready next year
I think there may be some misinformation here.
While the Lagos-Ibadan rail project has made significant progress, it's not yet ready for next year. According to the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), the project is still ongoing and is expected to be completed in 2023.
The Lagos-Ibadan rail project is a 157-kilometer standard gauge rail line that aims to connect the economic hubs of Lagos and Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State. The project was initially scheduled to be completed in 2019, but it has faced several delays due to various reasons, including funding issues and construction challenges.
In recent updates, the NRC has indicated that the project is about 90% complete, with the installation of tracks, bridges, and other infrastructure nearing completion. However, the exact completion date has not been officially announced.
It's worth noting that the NRC has also announced plans to extend the rail line from Ibadan to other parts of the country, including the southwestern states of Ogun, Ondo, and Ekiti. This will further enhance the rail network in Nigeria and improve connectivity between cities.
So, while the Lagos-Ibadan rail project is making progress, it's unlikely to be ready for next year. We'll have to wait a bit longer for the project to be completed and operational.
