Klopp reacts to watford ending liverpools 44 game unbeaten run
I think there may be some misinformation here!
Liverpool's unbeaten run actually ended on February 29, 2020, when they lost 3-0 to Watford at Vicarage Road. The run had started on August 17, 2019, and lasted for 44 games.
Here's what Jürgen Klopp, Liverpool's manager at the time, said after the game:
"It's not the first time we've lost a game, and it won't be the last. We have to accept it. We had a lot of games, and we had a lot of success, but we're not machines. We're human beings, and we can make mistakes.
"I think we were not good enough today. We didn't create enough chances, and we didn't defend well enough. We made mistakes, and they punished us. That's how it is.
"We will learn from it, and we will move on. We will not dwell on it. We will not think about it too much. We will think about the next game, and we will try to do better."
So, while Klopp was disappointed with the loss, he was also pragmatic and focused on moving forward.
