You're referring to Joe Biden's inaugural address as the 46th President of the United States!
Here is the full transcript of his speech, delivered on January 20, 2021:
My fellow Americans,
This is a day of history and hope. A day for the ages. Today, we mark the swearing-in of the 46th President of the United States, and the beginning of a new chapter in our nation's story.
I stand here today, footprints of giants on my shoulders, to speak to you about what the last four years have taught us, about the challenges we face, and about the hope and promise of this moment.
We've learned that no matter who we are or where we come from, we are capable of achieving great things. We've learned that we are stronger together than we are alone. And we've learned that we are not just a collection of individuals, but a community, a family, a nation.
We've also learned that we are not immune to the forces of division. We've seen the rise of a politics that is fueled by anger, fear, and resentment. We've seen the erosion of trust in our institutions, and the growing sense of disillusionment among many Americans.
But we've also seen the resilience of the American people. We've seen the power of protest, the power of activism, and the power of the human spirit. We've seen the courage of those who have stood up for what is right, even in the face of overwhelming opposition.
And we've seen the kindness, the generosity, and the compassion of the American people. We've seen the way we've come together to support each other, to lift each other up, and to make a difference in the lives of those around us.
So as we begin this new chapter in our nation's story, I want to talk to you about what I believe we can achieve together. I believe we can build an economy that works for everyone, not just the wealthy and well-connected. I believe we can address the climate crisis, and create a world where our children and grandchildren can thrive. I believe we can reform our criminal justice system, and ensure that justice is served for all Americans. And I believe we can build a nation that is more just, more equal, and more compassionate.
But I also know that we can't do it alone. We need each other. We need to work together, across party lines, across ideological divides, and across the many different communities that make up our great nation.
So I want to ask you to join me on this journey. I want to ask you to join me in building a nation that is worthy of our highest aspirations. I want to ask you to join me in creating a world that is more just, more equal, and more compassionate.
And I want to ask you to join me in remembering the words of the great American poet, Langston Hughes: "Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly."
My fellow Americans, let us hold fast to our dreams. Let us build a nation that is worthy of our highest aspirations. Let us create a world that is more just, more equal, and more compassionate. And let us never forget that we are stronger together than we are alone.
Thank you, and God bless America.
I hope that helps!
