Jewish new year greetings
Here are some traditional Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashanah) greetings:
In Hebrew:
- "Shana tova" (שנה טובה) - "A good year"
- "L'shana tova tikateiv v'techatem" (לשנה טובה תכתב ותחתם) - "May you be inscribed and sealed for a good year"
- "G'mar chatimah tovah" (גמר חתימה טובה) - "A good seal" (meaning a good ending to the year)
In English:
- "Happy New Year" (or "Happy Rosh Hashanah")
- "May you be blessed with a sweet and happy new year"
- "Wishing you a year filled with joy, peace, and prosperity"
- "May your new year be filled with love, laughter, and good health"
- "Shana tova, may your new year be a good one!"
In Yiddish:
- "Gut yor" (גוט יור) - "Good year"
- "L'shana tova, mein kind" (לשנה טובה, מיין קינד) - "A good year, my child"
