Insert new line in excel
There are a few ways to insert a new line in Excel:
- Press Enter: You can simply press the Enter key to insert a new line in a cell. This will move the cursor to the next line and create a new line break.
- Use the "Shift + Enter" shortcut: Pressing Shift + Enter will also insert a new line in a cell.
- Use the "Alt + Enter" shortcut: Pressing Alt + Enter will insert a new line in a cell, but it will also create a new row.
- Use the "Insert" menu: You can also insert a new line by going to the "Insert" menu, clicking on "Insert" and then selecting "Line break" from the drop-down menu.
- Use the "Ctrl + Shift + Enter" shortcut: Pressing Ctrl + Shift + Enter will insert a new line in a cell, but it will also create a new row.
Note: If you want to insert a new line in a cell that is already at the bottom of the worksheet, you can use the "Ctrl + Shift + Enter" shortcut or the "Insert" menu method.
Also, if you want to insert a new line in a cell that is part of a formula, you can use the "Alt + Enter" shortcut to create a new line break within the formula.
