Ikeja electric new tariff
Ikeja Electric, one of the largest electricity distribution companies in Nigeria, has introduced new tariffs for its customers. The new tariffs are designed to reflect the company's increased costs of operations and to ensure that it remains financially sustainable.
Here are the new tariffs introduced by Ikeja Electric:
New Tariffs
- Low Voltage (LV) Tariff: This tariff applies to customers who consume up to 50 units of electricity per month. The new tariff is N30.46 per unit.
- Medium Voltage (MV) Tariff: This tariff applies to customers who consume between 51-200 units of electricity per month. The new tariff is N24.46 per unit.
- High Voltage (HV) Tariff: This tariff applies to customers who consume above 200 units of electricity per month. The new tariff is N18.46 per unit.
- Commercial Tariff: This tariff applies to customers who consume above 500 units of electricity per month. The new tariff is N15.46 per unit.
- Industrial Tariff: This tariff applies to customers who consume above 1,000 units of electricity per month. The new tariff is N12.46 per unit.
Other Charges
In addition to the new tariffs, Ikeja Electric has also introduced other charges, including:
- Service Charge: This charge is N150 per month for residential customers and N500 per month for commercial and industrial customers.
- Estimated Billing Charge: This charge is N50 per month for residential customers and N100 per month for commercial and industrial customers.
- Metering Charge: This charge is N2,000 per meter for residential customers and N5,000 per meter for commercial and industrial customers.
Effective Date
The new tariffs and charges are effective from January 1, 2023.
Payment Options
Ikeja Electric customers can pay their bills through various channels, including:
- Bank Draft: Customers can pay their bills by bank draft at any of the company's designated banks.
- Online Payment: Customers can pay their bills online through the company's website or mobile app.
- Mobile Payment: Customers can pay their bills using their mobile phones through various mobile payment platforms.
- Cash Payment: Customers can pay their bills in cash at any of the company's designated payment points.
It's important to note that customers who fail to pay their bills on time may be subject to disconnection of their electricity supply. Therefore, it's essential to pay bills promptly to avoid any disruptions to your electricity supply.
