How to hide news feed on linkedin
LinkedIn doesn't have a direct option to completely hide the news feed, but you can take a few steps to minimize its visibility and reduce the noise:
- Mute specific updates: You can mute specific updates from individuals or companies that you don't want to see in your news feed. To do this:
- Click on the three dots next to the update.
- Select "Mute update" from the dropdown menu.
- Unfollow companies or individuals: If you don't want to see updates from a specific company or individual, you can unfollow them. To do this:
- Go to their profile page.
- Click on the "Following" button.
- Select "Unfollow" from the dropdown menu.
- Use LinkedIn's filtering options: LinkedIn provides filtering options to help you customize your news feed. You can:
- Click on the "Following" tab.
- Use the filters at the top of the page to select specific topics, industries, or locations.
- Click on the "See less" button to reduce the number of updates you see.
- Use a third-party browser extension: There are several browser extensions available that can help you hide or minimize the news feed on LinkedIn. For example:
- LinkedIn News Feed Disabler: This Chrome extension allows you to disable the news feed entirely.
- LinkedIn Feed Manager: This Firefox extension provides more advanced filtering options to customize your news feed.
- Use LinkedIn's "See First" feature: If you want to see updates from specific individuals or companies, you can use the "See First" feature. To do this:
- Go to their profile page.
- Click on the "Following" button.
- Select "See First" from the dropdown menu.
- This will move their updates to the top of your news feed.
By using these methods, you can reduce the visibility of the news feed on LinkedIn and make it more manageable.
