How to create new row in excel
There are several ways to create a new row in Excel:
- Using the keyboard shortcut: Press "Ctrl + Shift + + (plus sign)" to insert a new row above the current row. You can also use "Ctrl + Shift + - (minus sign)" to insert a new row below the current row.
- Using the mouse: Select the row below or above where you want to insert the new row. Right-click on the row number and select "Insert" from the context menu.
- Using the ribbon: Go to the "Home" tab in the ribbon and click on the "Insert" button in the "Cells" group. Then, select "Insert Sheet Rows" from the dropdown menu.
- Using the formula bar: Select the cell below or above where you want to insert the new row. Then, type "=" and press "Enter" to insert a new row.
- Using the "Insert" dialog box: Go to the "Home" tab in the ribbon and click on the "Insert" button in the "Cells" group. Then, select "Insert" from the dropdown menu and choose "Insert Sheet Rows" from the dialog box.
Note: When you insert a new row, all formulas and formatting in the cells below the inserted row will be shifted down.
