To create a new user on Windows 8, follow these steps:
Method 1: Create a new user account from the Start screen
- Move your mouse to the bottom-right corner of the screen to open the Charms bar.
- Click on the "Settings" icon (it looks like a gear).
- Click on "Change PC settings".
- Click on "Users" from the left menu.
- Click on "Add a user" and then "Local account".
- Enter the new user's name, password, and password hint.
- Click "Next" and then "Finish".
Method 2: Create a new user account from the User Accounts control panel
- Press the Windows key + X and select "Control Panel" from the menu.
- Click on "User Accounts and Family Safety".
- Click on "Add a new user" in the "User Accounts" section.
- Click on "Local account" and then "Next".
- Enter the new user's name, password, and password hint.
- Click "Create account".
