How to check matric results

Here are the steps to check your matric results:

Online Method:

1. Visit the official website of the relevant examination board, such as:
   • National Senior Certificate (NSC) results: www.uct.ac.za or www.matricresults.co.za
   • Independent Examinations Board (IEB) results: www.ieb.co.za
2. Click on the "Matric Results" or "NSC Results" tab.
3. Enter your examination number or ID number.
4. Enter your surname and initials.
5. Click on the "Submit" button.
6. Your results will be displayed on the screen.

SMS Method:

1. Send an SMS to the relevant examination board's SMS number:
   • NSC: 3123 (R2 per SMS)
   • IEB: 3123 (R2 per SMS)
2. Type the following format: "ID NUMBER SURNAME INITIALS" (e.g. "1234567890 SMITH J")
3. Send the SMS.
4. You will receive a response with your results.

In-Person Method:

1. Visit your school or the examination board's office.
2. Bring your examination number or ID number, as well as your surname and initials.
3. Ask the staff to check your results for you.
