NNPC Assures Nigerians of Fuel Availability During Christmas
The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has assured Nigerians that there will be adequate fuel supply during the Christmas season. This is according to a statement released by the corporation's Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Ndu Ughamadu.
According to the statement, the NNPC has put in place measures to ensure that fuel stations across the country are well-stocked to meet the increased demand during the festive period. The corporation has also increased its fuel storage capacity to ensure that there is no shortage of petroleum products.
"We want to assure Nigerians that we have taken adequate measures to ensure that there is no fuel scarcity during the Christmas season," Ughamadu said. "We have increased our fuel storage capacity and we have also put in place measures to ensure that our fuel stations are well-stocked to meet the increased demand during the festive period."
The NNPC has also appealed to Nigerians to avoid panic buying and to report any fuel scarcity to the corporation's emergency hotline. The corporation has also assured that it will continue to work with other stakeholders to ensure that the fuel supply chain is efficient and effective.
"We urge Nigerians to go about their festive celebrations without any worry about fuel scarcity," Ughamadu said. "We are committed to ensuring that our fuel stations are well-stocked and that there is no shortage of petroleum products during the Christmas season."
The NNPC's assurance comes amid concerns about fuel scarcity in some parts of the country. However, the corporation's efforts to increase its fuel storage capacity and put in place measures to ensure efficient fuel supply chain are expected to alleviate these concerns and ensure a smooth festive season for Nigerians.
