Heartfelt letter serena williams mom
Here's a heartfelt letter from Serena Williams to her mom, Oracene Price:
Dear Mom,
As I sit down to write this letter to you, I'm filled with so much gratitude and love. You've been my rock, my guiding light, and my biggest supporter throughout my entire life. Without you, I wouldn't be the person I am today.
I remember growing up, watching you coach me and my sisters on the tennis court. You taught us the importance of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. You pushed us to be our best, even when it was tough. And because of that, I've learned to never give up, no matter what challenges I face.
But it's not just about tennis, Mom. You've taught me so much more than that. You've taught me about resilience, about overcoming obstacles, and about being a strong, independent woman. You've shown me that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope and always a way forward.
I'm so grateful for the sacrifices you made for us, for the late nights and early mornings, for the countless hours you spent driving us to tournaments and practices. You did it all for us, and I'm so thankful.
As I look back on my career, I'm reminded of all the times you were there for me, cheering me on from the sidelines. You were my biggest fan, always believing in me even when I didn't believe in myself. And when I won my first Grand Slam title, you were the first one I thought of, because I knew you were the one who had been with me every step of the way.
But it's not just about my tennis career, Mom. You've been there for me through all of life's ups and downs. You've been my confidante, my advisor, and my friend. You've helped me navigate the ups and downs of life, and you've always been there to offer a listening ear and a comforting word.
As I look to the future, I know that I'll always be grateful for the lessons you've taught me, for the sacrifices you've made for me, and for the love and support you've given me. You've given me the gift of a strong sense of self, and for that, I'll be forever grateful.
Thank you, Mom, for being the best mom a girl could ask for. I love you more than words can express.
With all my love, Serena
