Guardiola breaks silence over man city future after ffp allegations
Pep Guardiola has finally broken his silence over his future at Manchester City, amidst allegations of Financial Fair Play (FFP) breaches by the club.
In a press conference ahead of City's Premier League match against West Ham United, Guardiola was asked about the ongoing controversy surrounding the club's financial dealings. He responded:
"I'm not worried about my future. I'm worried about the team, about the players, about the fans. We're going to focus on the pitch, on the games, and try to win as many as we can.
"I understand the situation, but I'm not going to talk about it too much. I'm a football coach, not a financial expert. I don't know the details, but I trust the people who run the club.
"What I can say is that we're going to keep working hard, keep trying to improve, and keep trying to win. That's what we do. We're not going to change our way of working because of what's happening outside.
"I'm happy here, the players are happy, and the fans are happy. We're going to keep going, and we're going to try to make the best of it."
Guardiola's comments come after UEFA launched an investigation into City's financial dealings, alleging that the club had breached FFP regulations by overstating the value of sponsorship deals and hiding the true extent of their financial losses.
City have denied any wrongdoing and have vowed to cooperate fully with the investigation. The club's owners, the Abu Dhabi United Group, have also released a statement denying any breach of FFP regulations.
Guardiola's future at the club has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks, with some reports suggesting that he could leave City if the club is found guilty of FFP breaches. However, it appears that the Spanish coach is committed to staying at the club and is focused on leading them to success on the pitch.
City are currently top of the Premier League table and are looking to win their third title in four seasons under Guardiola's management.
