GOV OKOWA CALLS FOR RESPECT FOR TRADITIONAL RULERS

Delta State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, has called for respect and recognition of traditional rulers in the state, saying they play a crucial role in the development of the society.

Governor Okowa made the call during a meeting with traditional rulers in Asaba, the state capital, where he emphasized the importance of traditional institutions in promoting peace, stability and development in the state.

According to a statement by the Commissioner for Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, the Governor said traditional rulers are the custodians of the culture and traditions of their people, and as such, they deserve respect and recognition.

He noted that traditional rulers have been playing a significant role in promoting peace and stability in the state, and that their input is crucial in the development of the state.

Governor Okowa also commended the traditional rulers for their efforts in promoting the culture and traditions of their people, and urged them to continue to play their roles in promoting peace, stability and development in the state.
