Good news jer 17v9
A great reference!
Jeremiah 17:9 says: "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?"
But, as you mentioned, this is often followed by verse 10, which says: "I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings."
So, the good news is that God is aware of our hearts and our ways, and He is willing to judge us according to our actions and the fruit of our lives. This is a message of hope and redemption, reminding us that we can turn to God and seek His forgiveness and guidance.
In fact, the rest of the chapter goes on to say that those who trust in the Lord will be like a tree planted by the water, with roots that reach deep into the earth and leaves that are green and flourishing. What a beautiful picture of hope and restoration!
So, thank you for sharing this verse!
