Go ye into the world and preach the good news
A beautiful reference to Jesus' commission to his disciples in Mark 16:15!
"Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature" (KJV).
This passage is often referred to as the "Great Commission" and is a call to action for Christians to share the good news of Jesus Christ with all people, everywhere.
In this digital age, we have many opportunities to "go into the world" and share the good news. Here are a few ways we can do so:
- Social media: Share inspiring stories, Bible verses, and Christian content on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and more.
- Online evangelism: Engage with people online, respond to comments and messages, and share the gospel with those who are seeking or curious about Christianity.
- Mission trips: Participate in short-term or long-term mission trips to share the gospel with people in different parts of the world.
- Local outreach: Serve your local community by volunteering at food banks, homeless shelters, and other organizations that serve those in need.
- Personal relationships: Build relationships with people from different backgrounds and share your faith with them in a natural, authentic way.
- Online courses and resources: Create and share online courses, videos, podcasts, and other resources that teach about Christianity and help people grow in their faith.
- Prayer: Pray for those who are seeking God, for missionaries and evangelists, and for the spread of the gospel around the world.
Remember, sharing the good news is not just about preaching or teaching; it's also about showing love, compassion, and kindness to others. As Jesus said, "By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another" (John 13:35).
So, go ye into the world and preach the good news!
