Gmail new contacts
When you receive an email from someone you don't have in your contacts list, Gmail can automatically add them as a new contact. Here's how:
Method 1: Automatic Contact Creation
- Open your Gmail account and compose a new email or reply to an existing one.
- Type the recipient's email address in the "To" field.
- If you don't have the recipient's contact information in your contacts list, Gmail will automatically create a new contact for them.
- You can find the new contact in your contacts list by clicking on the "Contacts" button in the top navigation bar.
- You can also search for the contact by typing their name or email address in the search bar.
Method 2: Manually Adding a New Contact
- Open your Gmail account and click on the "Contacts" button in the top navigation bar.
- Click on the "Create new contact" button.
- Enter the recipient's name, email address, and any other relevant information you'd like to add.
- You can also add a photo, phone number, or other contact information if you have it.
- Click "Save" to add the new contact to your list.
Tips and Variations
- You can also add a new contact by clicking on the "Add to contacts" button when composing an email or replying to an email from someone you don't have in your contacts list.
- If you want to add multiple contacts at once, you can use the "Import contacts" feature in your Gmail settings.
- You can also use third-party plugins or extensions to add new contacts to your Gmail account.
- If you're using Gmail's "Smart Reply" feature, you can also add new contacts by clicking on the "Add to contacts" button when responding to an email.
I hope that helps!
