Game of thrones new cast
Exciting news! HBO has announced new cast members for the upcoming prequel series of Game of Thrones, titled "House of the Dragon". Here are the new additions:
- Paddy Considine as King Viserys I Targaryen: The king of the Seven Kingdoms and the father of Rhaenyra and Aegon. Considine is known for his roles in "Peaky Blinders" and "The Outsider".
- Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower: The daughter of Otto Hightower, the Hand of the King, and a potential love interest for Rhaenyra. Cooke is known for her roles in "Ready Player One" and "The Lodge".
- Emma D'Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen: The daughter of King Viserys and the half-sister of Aegon. D'Arcy is a British actress known for her roles in "Wanderlust" and "Truth Seekers".
- Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen: The younger brother of King Viserys and the uncle of Rhaenyra and Aegon. Smith is known for his roles in "Doctor Who" and "The Crown".
- Steve Toussaint as Lord Corlys Velaryon: A powerful lord and the master of House Velaryon. Toussaint is a British actor known for his roles in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and "The Good Wife".
- Eve Best as Princess Rhaenys Targaryen: The wife of Lord Corlys Velaryon and a member of the royal family. Best is a British actress known for her roles in "The King's Speech" and "Nurse Jackie".
- Fabien Frankel as Ser Criston Cole: A knight and the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard. Frankel is a British actor known for his roles in "Cinderella" and "The Serpent".
- Sonoya Mizuno as Mysaria: A mysterious and alluring woman who becomes embroiled in the intrigue of the royal court. Mizuno is a Japanese-British actress known for her roles in "Crazy Rich Asians" and "Alita: Battle Angel".
These new cast members join previously announced stars Rhaenyra Targaryen (played by Milly Alcock and Emma D'Arcy) and Aegon Targaryen (played by Tom Glynn-Carney and Fabien Frankel).
"House of the Dragon" is set 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones and explores the history of House Targaryen, the ruling family of the Seven Kingdoms. The show is expected to premiere on HBO in 2022.
