From glory to glory that is my new name
What a powerful and uplifting phrase! "From glory to glory" is a biblical reference to 2 Corinthians 2:14, which says, "Thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life. And who is equal to such a task? Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God."
In this context, "from glory to glory" means that God is leading us on a journey of transformation, from one level of glory to another, as we walk with Him. It's a reminder that we are not static, but dynamic, and that God is constantly working in and through us to bring us to a place of greater glory, greater intimacy, and greater effectiveness for His kingdom.
So, when you say "from glory to glory that is my new name," I sense that you're declaring your identity in Christ, and that you're embracing the idea that you are a work in progress, being transformed from one level of glory to another. You're saying that you're not the same person you used to be, and that you're emerging as a new creation, with a new name, a new identity, and a new purpose.
I love it!
