Five nominees for cbn non executive directors buhari sends list to senate

According to recent news reports, President Muhammadu Buhari has sent a list of five nominees for the position of Non-Executive Directors of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to the Senate for confirmation.

The nominees are:

  1. Prof. Doyin Salami: A renowned economist and former Head of the Department of Economics at the University of Lagos.
  2. Dr. Suleiman Hassan: A former Deputy Governor of the CBN and a seasoned banker with over 30 years of experience.
  3. Prof. Uche Uwaleke: A Professor of Finance and Accounting at the Nasarawa State University and a former Director of the CBN's Financial Stability Department.
  4. Dr. Adeola Adesola: A former Director of the CBN's Banking Supervision Department and a seasoned banker with over 25 years of experience.
  5. Prof. Mike Obadan: A Professor of Economics at the University of Benin and a former Director of the CBN's Research Department.

The Senate is expected to screen and confirm the nominees before they can assume their positions as Non-Executive Directors of the CBN.
