Federal government to begin payment of n power programme recruits

According to recent reports, the Federal Government of Nigeria has announced that it will begin paying the stipends of recruits under the National Power Programme (N-Power) scheme.

The N-Power scheme is a social investment program initiated by the Federal Government to address the issue of unemployment among Nigerian youths. The program aims to provide a platform for young Nigerians to acquire skills and gain work experience in various sectors, including agriculture, health, education, and technology.

As part of the program, successful applicants are engaged as volunteers and receive a monthly stipend of N30,000 (approximately $80 USD). The stipend is intended to support the volunteers as they work on various projects and initiatives under the program.

According to reports, the Federal Government has announced that it will begin paying the stipends of N-Power recruits from the month of October 2022. This is a welcome development, as many of the recruits have been waiting for several months to receive their stipends.

It's worth noting that the N-Power program has been a subject of controversy in the past, with some critics accusing the government of not fulfilling its promises to the program's beneficiaries. However, the recent announcement of the payment of stipends is a positive step towards addressing some of the concerns and ensuring that the program achieves its objectives.
