Excel enter new line command
In Excel, you can enter a new line using the following methods:
- Alt + Enter: Press the Alt key and then the Enter key to insert a new line.
- Shift + Enter: Press the Shift key and then the Enter key to insert a new line.
- Ctrl + Enter: Press the Ctrl key and then the Enter key to insert a new line.
- Insert > Line break: Go to the "Insert" menu, click on "Line break", and then select "New line" from the dropdown menu.
- Format > Paragraph: Go to the "Format" menu, click on "Paragraph", and then select "Line break" from the dropdown menu.
- Right-click > Line break: Right-click on the cell where you want to insert a new line, and then select "Line break" from the context menu.
Note: The "Alt + Enter" method is the most commonly used method to insert a new line in Excel.
Also, you can use the "Line break" button in the "Home" tab of the ribbon, which is located in the "Paragraph" group.
