Excel cell new line without pressing enter

There are a few ways to insert a new line in an Excel cell without pressing Enter:

  1. Alt + Enter: Press the Alt key and then the Enter key simultaneously. This will insert a new line in the cell without moving the cursor to the next cell.
  2. Ctrl + Shift + Enter: Press the Ctrl key, the Shift key, and the Enter key simultaneously. This will also insert a new line in the cell without moving the cursor to the next cell.
  3. Insert a line break using the formula: You can use the following formula to insert a line break in a cell:

=CHAR(10)

This formula will insert a line break in the cell. You can also use other characters, such as CHAR(13) for a carriage return, or CHAR(13) & CHAR(10) for a line break and carriage return. 4. Use the "Line Break" button: If you have Excel 2013 or later, you can use the "Line Break" button in the "Home" tab of the ribbon. Click on the "Line Break" button and then click on the cell where you want to insert the line break. 5. Use the "Shift + Alt + F11" shortcut: This shortcut will open the "Developer" tab in the ribbon, where you can find the "Line Break" button.

Note that some of these methods may not work in all versions of Excel, or may have different results depending on the version you are using.
