Erpnext apply change to new transaction

In ERPNext, when you make changes to a transaction, you can apply those changes to a new transaction using the "Apply Changes" feature. Here's how to do it:

Prerequisites:

  1. You have a transaction open in ERPNext (e.g., a sales order, purchase order, invoice, etc.).
  2. You have made changes to the transaction (e.g., updated quantities, prices, etc.).

Applying changes to a new transaction:

  1. Go to the transaction you want to apply changes to.
  2. Click on the "Apply Changes" button in the top-right corner of the form.
  3. In the "Apply Changes" dialog box, select the type of transaction you want to create (e.g., "Sales Order", "Purchase Order", etc.).
  4. Choose the date and time for the new transaction.
  5. Click "Apply" to create a new transaction with the changes applied.

What happens when you apply changes:

When you apply changes to a new transaction, ERPNext creates a new transaction with the updated values. The new transaction is created with the same document type (e.g., sales order, purchase order, etc.) and the same date and time as the original transaction.

Key points to note:

By applying changes to a new transaction, you can easily create a new document with updated values without affecting the original transaction. This feature is useful when you need to create a new document with changes made to an existing transaction.
