Episcopal new year prayer
Here is a prayer for the New Year from the Episcopal Church:
A Prayer for the New Year
O God, as we stand at the threshold of a new year, we come before you with gratitude and hope. We give thanks for the blessings of the past year, and we ask for your guidance and wisdom in the year to come.
May we use the gifts you have given us to serve others, to build up your kingdom, and to bring joy and peace to all people. May we be mindful of those who are struggling, and may we work to alleviate their suffering and bring them hope.
May we be good stewards of the earth and its resources, and may we strive to live in harmony with all creation. May we be kind and compassionate to one another, and may we seek to understand and forgive each other's mistakes.
May we be bold in our faith and courageous in our witness, and may we never be afraid to speak the truth in love. May we be humble and willing to learn from others, and may we always seek to grow in our relationship with you.
As we begin this new year, we ask for your blessing and guidance. May we be filled with your love and your peace, and may we be a source of hope and joy to all those around us.
Amen.

A Collect for the New Year
O God, who hast made us for thyself, and our heart is restless until it finds rest in thee: Grant us, we pray, a new year of life, and a new year of hope. May we be mindful of thy presence with us, and may we seek to live in harmony with thy will. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
