Eminem announces new album 2016

I think there may be some confusion here!

Eminem did not announce a new album in 2016. In fact, his last studio album, "Revival", was released on December 15, 2017.

However, Eminem did release a surprise album called "Music to Be Murdered By" on January 17, 2020, which was his 11th studio album.
