Ekiti new ssa on community development

Here are some new initiatives on community development in Ekiti State:

  1. Ekiti State Community Development Agency (EKSDA): Established in 2019, EKSDA is responsible for coordinating community development projects and initiatives across the state.
  2. Ekiti State Social Investment Programme (ESSIP): Launched in 2020, ESSIP aims to reduce poverty and improve the standard of living of vulnerable groups, including women, youth, and people with disabilities.
  3. Community Development Centers (CDCs): The state government has established CDCs in each of the 16 local government areas to provide a platform for community members to access information, skills, and resources for development.
  4. Ekiti State Agricultural Development Programme (ESADP): Launched in 2020, ESADP aims to improve agricultural productivity and income for farmers, particularly in rural communities.
  5. Ekiti State Education Development Initiative (EEDI): Launched in 2020, EEDI aims to improve access to quality education, particularly in rural areas, through the construction of new schools, renovation of existing ones, and provision of educational materials.
  6. Ekiti State Health Development Initiative (ESHDI): Launched in 2020, ESHDI aims to improve access to quality healthcare services, particularly in rural areas, through the construction of new healthcare facilities, provision of medical equipment, and training of healthcare workers.

  9. Ekiti State Community Policing Initiative (ESCPI): Launched in 2020, ESCPI aims to promote community policing and improve security in rural areas through the establishment of community policing units and provision of training for community police officers.
  10. Ekiti State Environmental Sanitation and Waste Management Programme (ESESWMP): Launched in 2020, ESESWMP aims to improve environmental sanitation and waste management in urban and rural areas through the provision of waste management facilities, education, and awareness campaigns.
