Edo election outcome obaseki thanks buhari oshiomhole victory
I think there may be some confusion here.
The Edo State governorship election was held on September 19, 2020, and the results were announced on September 20, 2020. According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the winner of the election was Godwin Obaseki, the incumbent governor of Edo State, who won re-election for a second term.
Here are the results:
- Godwin Obaseki (PDP): 307,955 votes
- Osagie Ize-Iyamu (APC): 223,619 votes
So, to clarify, it was Godwin Obaseki who won the election, not Oshiomhole (who is a former governor of Edo State and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC).
As for President Muhammadu Buhari, he is the President of Nigeria and has no direct connection to the Edo State governorship election.
