Dua of father to his new born baby
What a beautiful and special moment! Here are some dua (prayers) that a father can recite to his newborn baby:
At the time of birth:
- "Allahumma, innaka 'affuwwun tuhibbul-'afwa, fa'fu 'anni wa-j'al li-waladin haqqan wa-anta khayru-l-waarithin" (O Allah, You are the Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness. Forgive me and make my child a righteous one, and You are the best of inheritors.)
- "Allahumma, innee as'aluka khairan wa-j'al khairan" (O Allah, I ask You for good and make good for my child.)
For the baby's well-being and guidance:
- "Allahumma, innee as'aluka khairan li-waladin, wa-khairan 'indahu, wa-khairan 'alayhi, wa-khairan 'ala 'amrihi" (O Allah, I ask You for good for my child, good in him, good on him, and good in his affairs.)
- "Allahumma, innee as'aluka an yahdiya khairan, wa-an yahdiya 'alayhi khairan, wa-an yahdiya 'amrihi khairan" (O Allah, I ask You to guide my child to good, guide him to good, and guide his affairs to good.)
For the baby's spiritual growth and protection:
- "Allahumma, innee as'aluka an tahdiya waladin, wa-an tahdiya 'amrihi, wa-an tahdiya 'alayhi khairan" (O Allah, I ask You to guide my child, guide his affairs, and guide him to good.)
- "Allahumma, innee as'aluka an yaj'alahu 'ala siratin mustaqim, wa-an yaj'alahu 'ala 'ibtila' al-khair" (O Allah, I ask You to make my child walk on the straight path, and make him face good trials.)
For the baby's future and success:
- "Allahumma, innee as'aluka khairan li-waladin, wa-khairan 'indahu, wa-khairan 'alayhi, wa-khairan 'ala 'amrihi, wa-khairan 'ala 'amrihi 'inda al-ghurubi wa-al-fajri" (O Allah, I ask You for good for my child, good in him, good on him, good in his affairs, and good in his affairs at dawn and dusk.)
- "Allahumma, innee as'aluka an yaj'alahu 'ala khairin, wa-an yaj'alahu 'ala 'amrin khairin, wa-an yaj'alahu 'ala 'ibtila' khairin" (O Allah, I ask You to make my child successful, make him have good affairs, and make him face good trials.)
Remember, these are just examples of dua and can be modified to fit your personal preferences and needs. The most important thing is to have a sincere and heartfelt prayer for your child's well-being and success.
