Do whatsapp stickers transfer to new device

WhatsApp stickers are stored on your device, and they are not automatically transferred to a new device when you switch or upgrade. However, there are a few ways to transfer your WhatsApp stickers to a new device:

  1. Backup and Restore: You can backup your WhatsApp data, including stickers, to Google Drive or iCloud, and then restore it on your new device. To do this:
    • Open WhatsApp on your old device and go to Settings > Chats > Chat backup.
    • Tap "Back up" to create a backup of your chats, including stickers.
    • On your new device, open WhatsApp and go to Settings > Chats > Chat backup.
    • Tap "Restore" and select the backup file you created earlier.
  2. Manual Transfer: You can manually transfer your WhatsApp stickers by copying the sticker files from your old device to your new device. To do this:
    • On your old device, go to the WhatsApp sticker folder (usually located at Android/data/com.whatsapp/files/stickers or iOS/Documents/WhatsApp/Stickers).
    • Copy the sticker files (.png or .webp files) to a computer or another device.
    • On your new device, create a new folder with the same name as the sticker folder on your old device.
    • Copy the sticker files from the computer or other device to the new folder.
    • On your new device, open WhatsApp and go to Settings > Chats > Stickers.
    • Tap "Add sticker" and select the sticker files you transferred.
  3. Third-party Apps: There are third-party apps, such as WhatsApp Transfer or WhatsApp Backup, that can help you transfer your WhatsApp data, including stickers, to a new device. These apps may require you to root or jailbreak your device, so be cautious when using them.

Remember to always backup your WhatsApp data regularly to prevent losing your stickers and other important information.
