Please note that DirectX 12 is only compatible with Windows 10, Windows 8.1, and Windows 8. DirectX 11 is compatible with Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, and Windows Vista. DirectX 10 is compatible with Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP. DirectX 9 is compatible with Windows XP and Windows 2000.
