Delsu new vice chancellor
As of my knowledge cutoff in 2022, the new Vice-Chancellor of Delta State University (DELSU) is Professor Andy O. Egwunyenga. He was appointed as the 8th Vice-Chancellor of the university on November 24, 2021, and took office on January 1, 2022.
Professor Egwunyenga is a renowned academic and administrator with a strong background in education and research. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Zoology from the University of Benin, a Master's degree in Animal Physiology from the University of Ibadan, and a Ph.D. in Animal Physiology from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Prior to his appointment as Vice-Chancellor of DELSU, Professor Egwunyenga served as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) of the University of Benin, where he was responsible for overseeing academic programs, research, and community engagement. He has also held various administrative positions in other universities, including the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and the University of Agriculture, Makurdi.
As the new Vice-Chancellor of DELSU, Professor Egwunyenga has pledged to prioritize academic excellence, research, and community development, and to work towards improving the overall quality of life of students, staff, and the wider community.
