Delsu admission news 2016 17
Here are some admission news updates from the Delta State University (DELSU) for the 2016/2017 academic session:
Admission List
- The 2016/2017 admission list was released on August 26, 2016.
- The list was published on the university's website and also sent to candidates who were offered admission via SMS and email.
- Candidates who were offered admission were required to pay a non-refundable acceptance fee of N10,000 within two weeks of the release of the admission list.
JAMB Cut-Off Mark
- The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) cut-off mark for DELSU for the 2016/2017 academic session was 180.
- However, the university's cut-off mark was 200 for some courses, while some courses had a cut-off mark of 220.
Post-UTME Screening
- The post-UTME screening exercise for the 2016/2017 academic session was held from August 15 to August 26, 2016.
- The screening exercise was conducted for candidates who chose DELSU as their first choice institution and scored 180 and above in the JAMB UTME.
Admission Requirements
- Candidates who were offered admission were required to present the following documents:
- Original JAMB result slip
- Original O'level result (WAEC, NECO, etc.)
- Original birth certificate
- Original letter of identification from the Local Government Area
- Original certificate of indigenity from the Delta State Government
Registration and Clearance
- Newly admitted students were required to register online and pay a registration fee of N10,000.
- Students were also required to undergo clearance at the university's registration unit, where they would be issued a clearance form.
