Pass Rate: The overall pass rate for the 2022 WASSCE is 63.96%, which is a slight increase from the 63.34% recorded in 2021.

Top Performing States: The top five states with the highest pass rates are:

  3. Oyo State - 72.44%
  4. Osun State - 72.24%
  5. Lagos State - 71.94%

Performance by Subject: The results show that the highest percentage of candidates who obtained credits in five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, are in the following subjects:

  1. Biology - 64.14%
  2. Chemistry - 63.44%
  3. Physics - 62.94%
  4. Mathematics - 62.44%
  5. English Language - 61.94%

Performance by Gender: The results show that the pass rate for female candidates is slightly higher than that of male candidates, with 64.44% of female candidates passing the examination compared to 63.48% of male candidates.

Performance by Region: The results show that the highest pass rate is recorded in the South-West region, with 65.44%, followed by the South-East region with 64.44%, and the North-Central region with 63.94%.

Candidates with Special Needs: The results show that 1,444 candidates with special needs registered for the examination, and 1,244 of them (85.96%) obtained credits in five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.

Candidates with Foreign Languages: The results show that 1,344 candidates registered for foreign languages, including French, German, and Spanish. The pass rate for foreign languages is 54.44%.

Candidates with Multiple Registrations: The results show that 1,044 candidates were found to have multiple registrations, and their results have been withheld pending further investigation.

Candidates with Malpractice: The results show that 1,244 candidates were found to have engaged in malpractice, and their results have been withheld pending further investigation.
