Create new elevation view revit
To create a new elevation view in Revit, follow these steps:
- Open your Revit project and navigate to the view you want to create the elevation view from. This can be a floor plan, section, or 3D view.
- Click on the "View" tab in the ribbon at the top of the screen.
- In the "Create" group, click on the "Elevation" button.
- In the "Elevation" dialog box, select the type of elevation you want to create:
- "New Elevation" creates a new elevation view from the current view.
- "From View" creates an elevation view from an existing view.
- "From Model" creates an elevation view from a specific model element, such as a wall or floor.
- Choose the elevation type:
- "Elevation" creates a standard elevation view.
- "Section Elevation" creates a section elevation view.
- "Cut Plane Elevation" creates a cut plane elevation view.
- Set the elevation plane:
- Choose the elevation plane from the drop-down list or click on the "Pick Plane" button to select a specific plane.
- You can also set the elevation plane by clicking on the "Elevation Plane" button in the "Properties" palette.
- Set the view scale:
- Choose the view scale from the drop-down list or enter a custom scale.
- Set the view orientation:
- Choose the view orientation from the drop-down list or enter a custom orientation.
- Click "OK" to create the new elevation view.
Alternatively, you can also create a new elevation view by:
- Right-clicking on the view tab and selecting "Elevation" from the context menu.
- Using the keyboard shortcut "E" (Windows) or "⌘ + E" (Mac).
Note: You can also create a new elevation view from a 3D view by using the "Elevation" tool in the "3D View" tab.
